R69

WHO WE ARE

First and foremost, we are a team of culture lovers and city dwellers. We created R69 as an ode to the place we love most.

It’s perched smack in the middle of Tel Aviv’s most iconic boulevard; a runway for daily commutes, essential coffee dates, the slightest life-giving breezes, seasoned pétanque players, meditative moments, and forever Tel Avivians.

In other words, our people, speaking the truest language of the city.

Rothschild Boulevard was one of the first planned streets in Tel Aviv over 100 years ago. Its original name, Rehov HaAm, means “the street of the people”

“Design is neither an intellectual nor a material affair, but simply an integral part of the stuff of life, necessary for everyone…”
Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus School, on the guiding priniciples of design

THE BUILDING

R69, with its art-filled corridors, Bauhaus bones, wrap-around panoramic views, and white-washed details has always been about cultivating a sense of place that physically breathes Tel Aviv’s most inspirational layers – in and out.

Our full-service residence offers seven artfully-designed rooms with all the conveniences and amenities of a hotel – in a completely exclusive setting.

Originally built in 1932 by Itzhak Margalit and designed by architect Itzhak Shwartz, the building depicts the International Style, with its wide balconies and big windows overlooking Rothschild Boulevard. Over the last decade, the building underwent an extensive redesign by the renowned architecture firm A N +, a collaborative practice run by Avital Gourary and Natanel Elfassy that embraces architecture, art, and philosophy.
